Level One Teacher Training in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® is a transformative experience, whether you decide to teach or simply use it as an opportunity for personal growth, you will change. Those changes can be a challenge to your family and your community. Don't take it personally; and definitely don't make any big decisions during Teacher Training. Simply allow yourself to dive deeply into your own identity – and above all, Keep Up!
The course is a physical and mental challenge. Do your best to set up your life to support your Teacher Training experience because, once it's over, your Teacher Training experience will definitely support your life!

Daya Nam Kaur is trained in both Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®. Her inspiring presence and teaching style is authentic, refined, and infused with grace. Christopher Perkins is the co-founder of Yandara and has over 20 years of meditation and yoga practice, his presence inspires those around him to enter their hearts and connect to their truest potential. Christopher is trained in both Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga. He has the gift to bring his students through fun and challenging practices while cultivating the shared awareness that is Yoga.more…
Christopher grew up at Sawan Kirpal Singh Ashram in Virginia. He requested initiation to a meditation practice at age 4, and while he led a “normal” childhood, he studied with Sant Darshan Singh until age 16. His passion for yoga philosophy and yoga psychology is a part of his daily life and weaves naturally into his teachings. Christopher is a registered YACEP® - Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider.
Sat Purkh Kaur Khalsa is a KRI Certified Level Three Kundalini Yoga Teacher as well as a Lead Trainer in the Aquarian Trainer Academy. Known for her work in Sound & Mantra as well as Humanology and the Women's Teachings; in 2008 she authored Everyday Grace: The Art of Being a Woman, an introduction to the Women's Teachings of Yogi Bhajan. more…
She recently launched an annual course, Woman: The Adi Shakti, which awakens women to the Goddess within. She has seven albums of sacred music, Nectar of the Name, Beautiful Day: The Aquarian Sadhana, Queen Be: The Goddess Within, Love & Other Miracles, One: Love, Life, Light, The Pearl: Maiden, Mother, Crone, and The Guru Within. She lives with her husband and their menagerie of animals, and is always at work on her next album of sacred music.
Gurujodha Singh is a Lead Mentor and Level 1 and Level 2 Teacher Trainer for the Kundalini Research Institute. Originally from Italy, he is now based in Mexico, where he lives with his family and runs a vibrant yoga school and community. Gurujodha is known for his capacity to transmit the teachings of Kundalini Yoga in a profound yet very simple way and brings a unique set of skills to his teaching, ranging from his background in political science, to his passion for music and healing.more…
He is currently involved in Teacher Trainings in Latin America and Asia and serves as United Nations Representative for the NGO 3HO International. When he is not teaching he sees clients on a regular basis for private consultations where he applies the tools of yogic psychology, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, to help people move from where they are to where they could be. His latest project is the creation of a system to organize and share the therapeutic effects of meditation online
Sat Siri, a lifelong yogi and athlete, is a former ballerina with the Australian Ballet. She has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 20 years and completed her Kundalini Yoga teacher training in 2003 under the guidance of Yogi Bhajan. After becoming certified by KRI and IKYTA, Sat Siri opened the first Kundalini Yoga studio in Sydney, Australia.more…
She is a trail-blazing Yogini who frequently travels internationally and trains new teachers in Australia, India, Canada, and the United States. Sat Siri’s teaching style is uplifting, challenging and healing. She believes it is everyone’s birthright to experience the peace, grace and blessings that awaken with daily Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. Training teachers has become one of the most inspiring and enriching aspects of her work. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.

Certification Requirements & Code of Professional Standards

- Attended all Teacher Training classes – 180 contact hours minimum
- Completed 20 hours of Kundalini Yoga Classes*
- Performed satisfactorily in the practicum
- Created two acceptable yoga course curricula
- Complete a 40-day yoga set/meditation; 11 minutes minimum
- Participated in at least 5 Aquarian Sadhanas – 2½ hours each for a total of 10 hours
- Participated in one day of White Tantric Yoga before the end of the course*
- Read, understood, and signed the Code of Professional Standards for Kundalini Yoga Teachers

The natural setting of your yoga teacher training at Yandara Yoga Institute in Mexico is a large part of your experience. This secluded Baja, Mexico location offers stunning beachfront vistas featuring open-air studios to keep you in touch with your surroundings and all the beauty that nature has to share with us. These comfortable outdoor settings take advantage of the warm temperatures that Mexico offers, drawing from its natural beauty, we encourage you to connect with your surroundings while you also connect with those you are on this journey with. Enjoy the experience of a true yoga lifestyle at Yandara's home campus with a secluded beach and natural setting know for bird watching, surfing and sun in Baja California, Mexico. Drawing upon Mexican heritage, your dining experience will also feature an internationally influenced menu. A menu choice is rarely ever repeated, and focuses on fresh, vegetarian, local organic ingredients.
You may choose from a variety of local attractions. A few favorites are Todos Santos which is just a short 20 minute drive away, designated as a Pueblo Mexico (“magic town”), this town features art galleries, historic buildings, and the very best in local restaurants. Nearby you will also find the renowned surfer beach Los Cerritos and the world-famous sandy beaches of Cabo San Lucas.
Enjoy an arid desert climate, where it’s always warm in the sun and cool in the shade. The daytime temperature never drops below 70s during the day, and nights feature cooler temperatures for a restful sleep
The majority of yogis that attend our Teacher Training choose to stay in our deluxe tents. These are big tents that most people are able to stand up in. Each tent has a normal twin size bed and mattress, a small set of drawers and a lamp. Bed linens are provided, but we do not provide a bath towel. Comfortable and yet still close to nature. We like to call it luxury camping. For couples we can offer a larger tent with a larger bed. We have 6 bathrooms and 5 showers on our campus.
Getting to Yandara
Yandara offers a shuttle service to get from/to the airport for $40 one way. They just need your flight details before the training starts. They recommended that you use the shuttle service unless you have your own car/rental.

Early registration tuition is $4,200 and is available up to September 15th, 2018. After that, tuition goes to $4,700. To received the early rate, all payment must be received by September 15th, 2018.
Tuition includes training, housing and meals. Travel costs, White Tantric Yoga course and 20 yoga classes are not included in the tuition.
